Some parks are busy; others are seasonally overwhelmed. These are the parks whose visitation spikes hardest into a single peak month — where a July visit and a shoulder-season visit are almost different parks.

The fix is rarely to skip the park. It is to move your trip a few weeks. Every entry below lists its busiest month so you know exactly what to dodge.
