Best National Parks to Visit in February
The February parks that score highest for the balance of light crowds, good weather and daylight — ranked from real NPS visitation and NOAA climate data.
February is still firmly winter, and still gloriously quiet almost everywhere. Northern high-country parks remain locked in snow; the Southwest, south Texas and Florida hit their seasonal stride.
It is one of the two quietest months of the year across the system, which makes it a bargain for anyone who can handle cool weather or head to the desert.

Where the crowds are in February
Not every park follows the same rhythm. In February, the most concentrated crowds tend to show up at Casa Grande Ruins, Organ Pipe Cactus, Moores Creek, while Klondike Gold Rush, Glacier Bay, Governors Island sit among the quietest relative to their own averages.
That is the whole point of ranking by month rather than by raw popularity: a famous park can be a poor February choice, and a lesser-known one can be perfect. Use the score to match the month to the park.
